Wines of Madrid

History

The efforts of the wine growers and producers involved in the modernization of vineyards, together with the improvement of wine processing and the search for higher quality wines, resulted in a Control Board established in 1990 and the Wines of Madrid Denomination of Origin being awarded.

Thanks to the research and the incorporation of the most up-to-date techniques into every aspects of cultivation and wine making process these wines are wines that are ever more suited to today's tastes and demand.

These constant increases in quality, variety and exports are proof of the recognition these wines are receiving, as are the prizes that they win at the main international fairs dedicated to the sector.
