The most widely grown grape. A high producing and highly resistant wine. Produces pale, fruity wines which are large and fresh in the mouth.
2. Albillo
Early maturing with small scale production, this grape has very different qualities from other white grapes. Produces full bodied white wines with good glycerol content and unforgettable personality.
3. Cabernet Sauvignon
A wine with a favourable cycle, producing small bunches of grapes and low production. Produces high quality young and Crianza wines. Good balance of alcohol and acidity.
4. Garnacha
A high producing upright wine. Produces flavourful young reds and rosés and well balanced crianzas.
5. Malvar
Good production, early maturing on an upright wine. Produces fresh and aromatic wines with a clear personality.
6. Merlot
Upright wine. Deficient in setting and sensitive to frost. Makes high quality wines when young, and can be mixed flexibly with other varietals.
7. Moscatel small grain
Early budding with small, compact cylindrical bunches. Wines made from this grape are highly aromatic with acidity that makes them particularly complex.
8. Parrellada
Large compact bunches with golden grapes. Makes fruity aromatic wines. Highly suitable for sparkling wines.
